DCR Winter Local History Talk Series: The Grand Trunk Hotel March 14, 2026 from 2-3 PM.

Step back in time to the grand days of Turners Falls! The Grand Trunk Hotel, built in 1872 and demolished in 1968, once stood near today’s Great Falls Discovery Center. But what made it so special? Join the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) staff as we use old photos, stories, and a little imagination to bring this lost landmark back to life.
